How to Draw a De Tomaso Pantera

1

Let's get busy. Start with the guide shape which looks sort of like a banana. Add the wheel wells and then proceed to step two.

2

Next, define the shape and body style of the Pantera like so. The nose should be pointed and the wheel wells should be drawn in as well.

3

Fill the gaps with the tires like so, then draw in the simple style rims which are basically your plain black rims with exposed lug nuts.

4

The next thing we will do is draw the other two tires, but obviously not in detail like we did the first two.

5

We will move on with drawing the windshield, passenger side windows, the sport vents on the back of the side window like so, and then draw in some of the trimming which is usually chrome molding that frames the windows.

6

Add detailing and definition all over the car. The headlights are small and so are the door handles and tail lights. Add a wiper and proceed to step seven.

7

For your last drawing step all you have to do is add detailing to the grill and then you are done. Erase those guides and mistakes.

8

Here is the line art. Now you can color it in and be on your way to trying something new.

Description: I don't know how many of you are familiar with this old school sports car, but when I was looking for cool cars to draw, this one stood out to me just because of the name. Today, I will be showing you how to draw a De Tomaso Pantera, step by step. The Pantera is Italian for panther, and it was designed to be a mid-range sports car. The style of this sports car is wicked. I love the old school looking body with the pointed front nose. These vehicles started being produced back in 1971 and the production of the De Tomaso Pantera ended in 1992. The specs on this sports car was pretty impressive. It had a 5.8 L V8 engine that pushed out 330 HP with an engine size of 351. The De Tomaso Pantera reached top speeds at one hundred fifty MPH, and from 1971 to 1992 there where only 7260 produced. Tom Tjaarda and Marcello Gandini are the designers for the Pantera. If you are familiar with this sports car, you should really enjoy drawing the De Tomaso Pantera.
