Now, the thing with guidelines is that if done right, they can be very helpful. But sometimes they don't help at all. I honestly only use guidelines when drawing things I'm not comfortable with drawing. So do whatever works for you! Draw a circle

Start by sketching in the head. Draw the snout along with the nose and mouth. The ears are like soft triangles.

Continue by sketching in the other ear along with an almond shaped eye. Start drawing the fluffy chest and the front left leg.

Finish the left leg, along with the right. Draw the underbelly along with the left hind leg. Compared to the front legs, the thighs are quite long.

Draw the other hind leg and draw in a very fluffy, curled tail. Also, draw the back and shoulder.

Ink your drawing, if you want lines that is c: You now have a cartoon Shiba Inu that you can finish however you choose!
