How to Draw a Boa Constrictor
1
As you would with any snake drawing all you have to do is make a circle for the snakes head and then draw a long curled line for the snakes body in a slithering pose.
2
Use the head shape that you drew in step one to start sketching out the actual structure of the head of the snake. As you can see this boa has a very defined head. Draw the bottom portion of the mouth and then make the mouth line.
3
You will now start sketching in the detailing along the snakes mouth line which is also the scaly skin. Next, draw the eye and slit pupil as well as the bone detailing or definition on top of the head. Add the nostril holes and move to step four.
4
Now is the time that you will need to draw in the thick, hearty body of this boa constrictor. Start where the head lines ended from step two, and then continue to draw the body in a slithering style. Take your time so your snake comes out decent.
6
Finally for the last drawing step all you have to do is make some scales as you sporadically sketch them in, and then draw a defining line that travels down the back of the snake. Clean up the drawing and that's it.

Description: So I have yet to submit a decent tutorial on a python or a tut on “how to draw a boa constrictor”, step by step. I drew this up a few days ago and decided to submit it tonight. There has been so many things keeping me from working on more tuts, so I am so sorry for doing so. I'll be submitting more tutorials recently now. Anyways, get yourself drawing tools in order to prepare for this lesson as well as refrences on the various poses and types of Boa Constrictors existant in the world. Who knows, maybe you could let your creativity expand and create your own breed of snake (something I would do!). Take your time as you work each line and decide which colors you'll be using in the end. The lineart will not have the markings featured in the preview image, only because I want you to create your own to further your skills of creativity. I've better get going now, more tuts to submit for y'all! Thanks for viewing and stay sharp of more fun lessons!
