Drawing a Simple Puppy Girl

Start with a circle! Then draw the chin, neck, shoulders, and face guid lines.

Draw the face!

Draw the basic hair shape.

When adding detail to to the hair use quick up and down stroaks. (Sorry for the bad picture. It's a little hard to take the pictures at night.)

Add more detail to the hair and ears!

Draw the collar of her dress.

Erase the guid lines and add more detail! Your sketch is done!

Let's color! I am going to use colored pencils to color this drawing. Start with the skin color.

Now add some blush! I used a red pencil and pressed very lightly to get a pink. Also color her nose and ears.

Next color the hair! I like to do a lot of shading. For making a gradation I start in the place with the darkest shadow, and press harder. Then as I go away from the shadowed area I press lighter and lighter. I also leave some white for the highlight

Now color the eyes. Start with the base color and then add some shading.

Color her dress!

Add a little color to the background and you are done!!

Description: I made this tutorial on the train. The pictures are taken with my mothers phone (because I am currently on vacation)! In this tutorial I will show you how I sketched and colored this little puppy girl. I talked with Dawn for a few seconds in the chat section, and I am now super inspired!! Hope you like my tutorial!
