Draw the head and then draw in the body. When that is done you can sketch in the facial guidelines as well.

Define the shape of the head, and then draw the feathers on the head.

You can now draw the big eyes, then draw in the beak. Add a smile and a nostril hole.

Here you will draw in three balls at the ends of each feather. When that is done you can draw the eyeballs and then the brows.

You can now draw the shape of the neck, followed by the shoulders and crossed over arms/wings.

To the right arm, draw three feathers that are separated that act as fingers.

Draw the body and then draw the legs and feet. Add the talons or claws on the toes too.

Sketch out the arched tail feathers like so, the add some flames to the tail feathers as well as detailing.

Lastly, draw the last of the tail feather and then more of the flames. Erase whatever mistakes you might have made as well.

Here is your cartoon phoenix drawing. Just color in the art then show someone what you just created.

Description: Everyone loves the phoenix and not just because they are a cool looking mythical bird. We love the phoenix for what this fire bird represents and that is being lifted from the ashes starting over. Today I will be showing you how to draw a cartoon version of the Phoenix and I think that a lot of you will have fun with this lesson. I know I enjoyed drawing this cartoon phoenix because it took me back to childhood. Anyways, have fun and remember, don't give up drawing, especially drawing what you love.
