Wolf Anatomy Drawing

Step 1.

Skeleton - I'm going to dissect this wolf anatomy from bone to flesh. Let's observe the skeleton of a basic generic wolf. Notice how the bones of a wolf aren't as complex as say a human. Though this isn't an exact replica of a canine skeletal structu

Step 2.

Organs - Here's a simplistic breakdown of a canine's organs. Notice there isn't much here, just the basics. This reference would be great to use if you're drawing again, gory scenes or some sort of macabre which requires references of canine organs.

Step 3.

The Muscular Anatomy - Here's another breakdown of the muscular components that dress the wolf. Study all the various tendon discolorations and the way the muscles intersect with one another.

Step 4.

This step basically shows you what parts of a dog is called. As a beginning artist drawing wolves, we must understand why the wolf body is shaped the way it is, from the inside out. Otherwise, when you're drawing your own dog pose from a different po

Step 5.

Again, we must understand why a canine's head is shaped the way it is from the inside out. Here, I dissect the skull of a wolf, and show you the teeth and the way they are formed. The upper jaw always overbites the lower jaw. If you ever stretch open

Step 6.

Here's a lovely breakdown of the paws as many artists aren't aware of how the paw should be structured. If you're going for a realistic approach on drawing canines, it would be wise to reference various types of paws at Google Images. An artist's gre

Step 7.

This is a quick lesson on drawing wolf paws. Make the foot, then add the first toe, then draw the rest of the toes. You will finally add the nails or claws.

Step 8.

A wolf eye is pretty distinct. When observing a wolf's eye, you will notice that the iris is extremely light leaving the pupil completely visible. Reference as many eyes of wolves as they can range in various shapes and iris colors as well as the sur

Description: I know for a fact that folks are going to flip over this drawing on wolf anatomy. The wolf is by far one of my favorite animal species and will always hold a special spiritual place in my heart. I really wanted this drawing to stand out so I made sure that the wolf in the thumbnail image was attractive and very appealing. I don't know anyone who can deny the wolf as an animal species, but if you have ever wondered about the genetics of the wolf, this this submission will keep you peaked with interest. You will see the insides of the wolf's muscles, bones, and skeletal makeup. I think you will love this drawing, hopefully as much as I did making it. Believe me, it took a long time to complete.
