Ted Nugent Drawing Tutorial

Begin with a head guide and sketch in the facial guidelines.

We will draw in the long strands of curly hair down the sides of the face and then draw in Ted's chin or jaw structure.

Begin to use the facial guidelines to draw out the eyebrows. Then color them in and draw the nose or some of the nose.

Ted Nugent always has a surprised or crazed look on his face, so when you draw in the eyes be sure to draw them popped open and staring. Add the crease lines on the top of the eye to form the lid and then draw the nostril.

Let us draw the mouth but not closed. It should be smirking with his front teeth showing. Add some shading to the teeth to create the gums and then draw a bottom lip.

Now you can draw in the facial hair which is a redneck style beard. Thick on the sides, empty in the middle at the chin with a strip in the middle of the chin. Shade in the beard as well.

Finish his hairstyle by drawing the long, squiggly locks. Add the shape of the head with the hair creation too.

Draw neck definition and begin to erase the mistakes and the guidelines.

Description: Now I don't know how many of ya'll know who this rock and roll star is, but he is someone that I recently started listening to this past Summer and I have to tell ya, I love his songs. For my second lesson on a musician, I will be showing you how to draw Ted Nugent, step by step. Not only does he make awesome music, he is also known for being a big time gun rights fanatic and is part of the NRA. The image of Ted Nugent in this lesson is what he looked like back in his heyday with the long wavy locks, redneck style mustache and beard, and of course I couldn't color in this image without adding the Confederate flag in the background. If you like classic rock music you will love this lesson on drawing Ted Nugent. I shall return because there are a lot of tuts still to come so stick around.
