1

Start off with a circle for the guide shape of your skull and then sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

Using the guide you just drew, begin to sketch out the actual shape of the skull's head. This also includes the top portion of the mouth or jaw followed by a few teeth.

3

We will begin to utilize the facial guidelines to draw out the eye sockets, the nasal cavity and then sketch in the definition to the brow and skull. Notice the indent to the sides of the skull's head as well as the small crack lines along the edge o

4

The skull itself is done. If you like you can start erasing the guidelines and shapes you made in step one. Once that is finished begin to draw in the blossoms. I chose the lily, but you can draw any flower of your choice.

5

Add a few more blossoms and then draw the loose petals that have fallen from some of the blossoms as they reach the ground.

6

You're done. The drawing is complete and your line art should look like the concept you see here. Color in the art using paint, crayons, colored pencils/pens or markers.

Description: I had a lot of fun creating this lesson on a skull and blossoms. Instead of a typical drawing, I did a digital painting that came out absolutely beautiful. The pink blossoms are scattered over the entire top part of the skull and there are small petals on the floor where the skulls is resting. This would actually make a really nice tattoo concept especially for those who love skulls and flowers combined into one design. As far as complexity goes, I don't think you will find this lesson difficult at all to replicate. The steps are simple to follow and understand so that should make drawing a skull and blossoms that much easier. Anyways, have fun and stick around because the next tuts to go up are adorable.
