Peacock Spider Drawing Tutorial
1
Okay guys, let's get started. Begin by drawing the three round shapes. One for the head, another for the mid section and then a guide shape for the peacock like feather. (it's not a feather, it's actually the abdomen).
3
We will now draw the eyes and at this view there are six. The two in the middle are larger then the ends.
4
We can now draw the legs. Three of the legs are in a regular stance. It is the middle legs that flare out like you see here in the drawing. They do this only when trying to win over a mate. Add the hairy detailing as well.
5
For the last drawing step we will draw the abdomen. Add the pretty peacock like design on the surface of the abdomen like so. Erase the mistakes and the guides too.

Description: Some exciting news comes out of Australia. It looks as though there was a new spider species discovered called the Peacock spider. I have always thought spiders were cool, but this spider is beyond cool because it has a feather like back that they display for their matting rituals. The spider was discovered by Scientist Jürgen Otto and it was announced a few days ago of their existence. Because this is a new species, there is not a whole lot of information on the peacock spider. For now we can have fun drawing the peacock spider while we wait for more info on this beautiful species of arachnid.
