How to Draw Tribal Jim Morrison

Artist: Dawn / March 28, 2014

Step 1.

Carefully take your time as you sketch out Jim's tribal face shape. The lining is very angled and has some jagged lines as well. Draw the mouth in using a single stroke.

Step 2.

Begin drawing the rough shapes to form the eyes and nose like so.

Step 3.

Now that Morrison's face is all drawn in, you can now slowly draw his big hairstyle which is just a rugged lined long circle. Erase whatever mistakes you may have made when you are done.

Step 4.

When you shade in everything and add color you should end up with a lined sketch like you see here.

Description: Well, here is the second tribal constructed figure of Jim Morrison that you will be getting a lesson on. I don't know how many people will actually tackle this tut, but if you like The Doors and are a fan of Jim Morrison as I am, drawing a tribal version of the Lizard King should be pretty cool. There is actually only three drawing steps to this lesson which means it's super easy to follow and replicate. I don't even think there is anything complex about this lesson, looking at it now only shows three major parts; the hair, face and structure of the face. Enjoy folks, there is some other cool stuff coming up so don't go anywhere.
