Description: I have some pretty cool lessons on some famous people that changed history in more ways than one. To start, let me show you "how to draw Teddy Roosevelt", step by step. Theodore Roosevelt was born October 27, 1858. There is countless accomplishments that Teddy achieved but before he became president, he was a child that came from wealth, but he was also a very sick boy while growing up suffering from asthma and other illnesses. His asthma was so bad, he often had to sleep sitting upright because of his breathing. Anyways, some time later in life he lost his father which was really hard on Tedddy. He first married in 1884 to Alice Hathaway Lee, but she later passed away from kidney failure after their daughter Alice was born. Not only did he have to deal with his wife's death, he also was stricken with the tragedy of his mothers death the very same day. How was Theodore supposed celebrate the birth of his first child with so much death around him? Needless to say he was a very strong man and managed to pull through but not by dealing with the pain, but by blocking it out as if it never existed. When he lost his mother and wife, he lost a part of his soul. He never spoke or wrote about his wife Alice ever since. One thing I never knew, is that Theodore Roosevelt is a natural born New York native. He left New York but returned between 1885 and 1887. He was part of the New York Sate Assembly from 1882-1884. Theodore Roosevelt became the United States twenty sixth president from 1901-1909. He is among the faces on Mount Rushmore along with Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and of course George Washington. I do hope you enjoy drawing Theodore Roosevelt, I'm sure he will be an easy task.
