How to Draw Realistic Jack Skellington

Make a large circle for the head then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Use the circle to sketch out the large, odd shape for the head and face. Make the arched brow, then some inner lines.

To give Jack his expressive stare, you will need to draw in the squiggle style lines to form the brows. They should be neck in neck with one another as they will both have something to do with Jack's facial expression.

Up next, sketch out the large shapes of the eyes. The left eye should be shorter, and rounder then the right eye. Add definition to the bottom of eyes, then proceed to step five.

Draw the small nasal cavity like so, then sketch in the lines around the nose.

Up next, we will work on getting the cheek bone structure made and when you do this be sure that the upper jaw begins taking form.

From ear to ear start sketching out the large, wide open smile. The gum line should consist of the arches for each tooth that you will have to draw in. This will be a time consuming step, but it has to be done.

Make the lining for the top row of teeth. The lining should be a bit wavy. You will later draw in each tooth.

Next, sketch in the bottom row of teeth. The base of the gum line should be wavy or indented.

Draw the teeth next. Take your time when you do this and when you are done then you will have a finished drawing of his teeth.

Add the cracks on the skull, along the cheeks, and upper jaw. Erase the mistakes you might have made as well.

Description: I have drawn so many Jack Skellington's in the past that talking about new drawings on him gets sort of played out. All I really want to say with this description is I had a lot of fun creating this new concept on the Pumpkin King. Up next, we will travel down the realistic lane by showing you all how to draw realistic Jack Skellington, step by step. His great big mouth or smile is definitely where it should be, and his eyes are exactly how I picture them in a realistic style. I love how one brow arches up as the other is lowered and the teeth are also well drawn and defined. I don't know how to explain how much I love this drawing and how I want you all to try drawing Jack Skellington in realistic form as well.
