How to Draw Thistlewit

1

Start off with a head, neck and shoulder guides like so, then sketch in those facial guidelines.

2

Here you will start the process with defining the face shape.

3

Next, begin the hairstyle by sketching out the thick, long bouncy curl.

4

Draw the left side of the hair which also has a stringy bang, then add a bundle of thistle on top of her head.

5

You will now draw in more of her hair along with more thistle.

6

Draw in the rest of her hair. Which should be wide, puffy and full of fluff.

7

Here you will draw in her hat which is a small cap that is rounded.

8

Make the eyebrows, then draw the eyes in a very simple style.

9

You can now draw the small nose, then add her freaky or funny looking smile.

10

Finish off this flower fairy by drawing her neck, shoulders, arms and then her chest. Add the ruffle for the lining and you are done. All you will do next is erase your mistakes.

11

That's it, you are all done. Now you can color her in and bring this fairy to life.

Description: Many of you are either looking forward to watching Maleficent in the theaters, or have already watched the new film. If you did or didn't this lesson will or should appeal to you. I wanted to find more characters from the film to make lessons of and I did. There is a total of three tutorials on the flower fairies from both Disney films Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty. Here is "how to draw Thistlewit" or Fauna, step by step. She has blonde hair and in the film she is played by Juno Temple. The lesson should be pretty fun since you will be drawing a fairy. All three fairies where also in Disney's cartoon version, but they went by the names, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. Enjoy folks, and leg me know if you have waited for this tut.
