How to Draw Pigeons

Step 1.

Firstly before you want to draw a pigeon, maybe it would be a helpful extra, if you know, what's about his anatomy. The first two page will be about the bird anatomy for the beginning.

Step 2.

As the second part of the pigeon anatomy we are focus on the bird's most useful and important part, the wings.

Step 3.

Now you will have three extra page about the pigeon movements and poses.

Step 4.

You can see them in special views, so you can draw them more easier for example in the back vies and front views too.

Step 5.

On the last extra page you can see well some pigeon species too (as on the main picture too -he is a Victorian Crowned Pigeon-, so you can see, that they have really beautiful and colorful sepcies too)

Step 6.

Let's start the "How to draw Pigeon" part! Now, start to draw the base lines. This is helpful, that you can draw the base form of the body.

Step 7.

Firtsly, draw the beak and the part of the head for the starting.

Step 8.

As the head important part is these head feathers start the base part of them, the outline.

Step 9.

Now draw the beak's mouth part and his eye (he looks like really interesting in this part, don't you think? But don't worry, it will be okay).

Step 10.

Now draw the lines around of his eye and his beak (and the little point of the nose hole).

Step 11.

After the outline, draw the center of the headfeathers.

Step 12.

As the finishing part of the headfeathers, draw the little lines of the feathers.

Step 13.

The next bigger part is the pigeon's body, draw the main lines of his body.

Step 14.

Draw the under part of his body!

Step 15.

As the next step, draw the main feathers of his wings, and some lines on the other parts of his body.

Step 16.

Draw the little details of their feathers on the wings.

Step 17.

As the last part of the body drawing, draw the little lines and details on his body (of course, mainly on this wings).

Step 18.

The next bigger part is the main tail feathers' base line.

Step 19.

Draw the little feathers too, thes are the parts of the tail too, now he is really beautiful, don't you think?

Step 20.

And the last part of the tail feathers drawing is the lines of the feathers, now they are looks like more detailed.

Step 21.

And now, the last part of your drawing is the backround, draw the tree under him, now you have a complete beautiful drawing about a Victoria Crowned Pigeon.

Step 22.

You are done! Now go, and color him, as you want. I really enjoy to draw this tutorial, I hope, you like it too. Great work, guys!
