How to Draw Papa Smurf

First you will need to draw a circle for the shape of Papa Smurf's head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then connect another circle shape for the body and draw the limb guidelines as well as the hat line.

You can now start sketching out the shape pf his hat and then the rounded lining shape of his bushy beard. When that is done, you can see that it is time to move to the next step.

Sketch out Papa Smurf's face which includes the eyes, eyebrows, rounded nose, and pupils. When the face is complete you can sketch out the rest of the shape for his beard. Draw out the mouth and tongue that is inside of his small mouth and then draw

You are almost done with this lesson and all you need to do here is draw out his hand and arm shape. Draw the pant line and then begin the lining for the right arm.

Here is your last drawing step and all you need to do here is draw out the right arm and hand and then the legs and feet. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one and move to see what your finished line art should look like.

When you are done your blue guy should look like the drawing you see here. Color him in using your blue, red, and white crayon, marker, or colored pencil. When you are done you have finished this lesson on "how to draw Papa Smurf step by step".

Description: Smurfs, smurfs and more smurfs. As you know I did a tutorial on a smurf named Smurfette and to tell you the truth, back then she looked good. But now that I am better at drawing I feel like I need to redo her because she looks a bit messed up. Smurfette was adopted by Papa Smurf and if you are familiar with the old cartoon series you should know that Papa Smurf is the main character that all the other smurfs look up to and want to be like. Today I decided to fill another tutorial request and this time it is going to be on “how to draw Papa Smurf step by step”. Papa Smurf is the oldest out of all the smurfs besides Grandpa Smurf and Nanny Smurf. Papa Smurf is always tinkering around in his house playing with his science tubes and what not. He directs the rest of the smurfs to do the right thing and he also likes to teach them valuable lessons. Some of the smurfs that are close to Papa Smurf often remind him that he is the leader of them all. When he is not busy keeping all the smurfs in the village happy and together, he loves sitting in his house mixing and making potions with his love for alchemy. I always liked Papa Smurf and he reminds me of a cute old man that wants to be left alone in the woods when he is not bothered by his rampaging kids.
