How to Draw Leonard Nimoy

Step 1.


Let us begin by drawing the head guide, shoulder guide and facial guidelines.

Step 2.


Using the head/face guide, you will sketch out the shape of Leonard's face structure like so, then draw in the straight cut hairline followed by the formation of his pointed Vulcan ear.

Step 3.


Mr. Spock may have been half human, but his Vulcan roots gave him those odd shaped eyebrows and ears. Here you will draw and color in the eyebrows, then draw in the indents for the bridge of his nose.

Step 4.


Use the facial guidelines to draw in the upper lid which is sagging over the eye as you will see in the next step. Then draw the shape of his nose like so.

Step 5.


Finish the eyes and color in the pupils.

Step 6.


We will now sketch in some facial detailing like the frown lines around the mouth, and the cheek indents. draw in his mouth which are also his closed lips.

Step 7.


All you have to do here is draw detailing inside his ear like so.

Step 8.


We will finish drawing Leonard by defining the shape of his head which also happens to be his hair, then draw the shape of his neck. Add detailing to the neck and make a shirt collar line.

Step 9.


Lastly, sketch in the shirt or shoulders, Add the collar and then sketch in some definition to the shirt which are the wrinkles and creases.

Step 10.


Here you have it, your finished drawing of Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock. Color in the drawing and you are done.

Description: I'm sure almost everyone has heard the sad news on the passing of one of Hollywood's most recognized names and faces. Today, I will be dedicating this tutorial to all the fans out there who loved the man who is best known for his role as the half human, half Vulcan known as Mr. Spock from the Star Trek series. We will learn how to draw Leonard Nimoy, step by step. Mr. Nimoy passed away February 27, 2015 at the age of 83. He was an iconic face that will always be remembered as being the right hand man to Captain James T. Kirk. Nimoy was also loved playing guitar and had an admiration for music. Drawing Leonard Nimoy will be a lot easier then you think. I chose to make the tut as he looked in his Mr. Spock role. So go ahead and enjoy this tut folks and in the words of Mr. Spock "Live long and prosper".
