1

Make two shapes, one for the head and the other for the torso. You will then draw the one limb line as well as the facial guidelines.

2

Begin sketching out Lady Liberty's face shape like so, and add some darkened ares for the tribal look of this concept.

3

Draw the eyes, nose and mouth in a shading style, then add the definition to her face to create the cheek indents. Add shading to the left of her face, then add the lining for the bangs of her hair.

4

Sketch out the crown that is upon her brow which has eight sharp spikes. Finish drawing the hair, then add some detailing dash like lines on the rim of the crown.

5

We will now start drawing the tribal design of her Greek style clothing called a Peplos. The women of Greece wore these robe like sashes. Add the shape of the tablet that she holds in her left arm or hand.

6

Lastly, sketch out the tribal style of her sleeve from the Peplos, then draw in the arm, hand and torch in her hand. Add the flame as well as the fingers and thumb. Erase your mistakes, and that's it.

7

Here is the line art now that you are all done. Color her in using the festive Red, White, and Blue.

Description: Okay guys, in celebration of the 4th of July, I wanted to upload a festive design that expressed our freedom and what independance stands for. It stands for personal peace, well being, harmonious ability to live your life the way you like without threatening the lives of others in any which way. It's about being able to protect your family without restraints in a civil and legitimate manner. I love the freedom that I have, but I fear it is diminishing from my fingertips. For now I will celebrate my country and the birth of my freedom until someone tells me I can't do it anymore. Have fun drawing a tribal statue of liberty, step by step.
