How to Draw Ky, Redakai

Draw a circle for the head, and then add the guidelines for the face, shoulders, arms and torso like you see here.

Here you will sketch out the shape of Ky's face and then draw out the ears. Next, draw out the front pieces of his hair which are blocky strands.

Using the facial guidelines you drew in step one, you need to now draw out his intense eyes, along with the eyebrows and eyeballs themselves. Next, sketch in the nose, and his mouth like so, and don't forget to add some detailing to his face too.

Now that the face is all set, you can start working on getting his hair drawn out and notice how the hair is bulky, or drawn in chunks. Color in some pupils, and then add inner ear detailing.

Description: I wish I knew some 411 on this character that is going to be appearing in a new Cartoon Network series called ‘Redakai’. I can’t believe that the network is able to come out with all these shows and still have time to air everything else. I guess they get ideas for shows to fill spots for other series that go through a season finale. Anyways this tutorial is going to show you "how to draw Ky", step by step and he is one of the three main figures of Redakai. He is the leader of Team Stax, I read somewhere that the show is geared toward boys that are into action packed animated series. The same guys that brought you Bakugan is responsible for this new adventure and they are Spin Master. Ky is a fifteen year old boy and his two best friends are Boomer, and Maya. The show is going to take the viewers on a journey with Ky and his friends as they search for an alien energy force called ‘Kairu’. I bet it’s going to be an exciting series, and just by the character design I know for a fact that there is going to be some cool effects.
