How to Draw Jack Frost, Rise of the Guardians

1

We will be drawing Jack Frost so I hope you are all ready to dive into some drawing fun. Begin with a circle for the head and then sketch in the facial guidelines as well as the neck and shoulder lines.

2

You will start this step by sketching out the shape of Jack's facial structure, and then draw in the bangs for his hair. Notice that his jaw line is straight and he also has a square chin.

3

Next, draw the almond shaped eyes like so, and then sketch in the nose and mouth. I drew him with a closes smile because I think it goes better with his character design.

4

You will now draw and color in the thick eyebrows, as well as draw the iris' and color in the pupils. Make sure that the eyebrows are in a serious expressive pose.

5

Finish drawing out his head in the form of his hairstyle like so, and be sure to sketch in the part which is off to the right hand side.

6

Now that Jack Frost's head and face is complete, we can begin the drawing process for the torso. Start with the neck shape, and then draw the shoulders in the form of a crinkled up sweater or hoodie.

7

Finish Jack off by drawing the rest of the torso. Do this by drawing the arms, chest, and some of the lower half of the body. Add some detailing to his clothes, and then you are ready to start erasing your mistakes and guides.

Here is Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians when you are all finished. Color him in and wait for the lessons on the other characters from the upcoming movie.

Description: I know it's kind of soon or too early to be mentioning a character from an upcoming movie that isn't going to be released until November of this year, but I just had to do this character because he is so interesting looking. For my last lesson for the day I will be showing you "how to draw Jack Frost" from Rise of the Guardians, step by step. Now because this is such a new movie, there isn't any character information on him as of yet. All I can tell you is that his character is going to be voiced by Chris Pine. If you don't know who Chris Pine is, you may remember him in the Star Trek film as he plays the young Captain James T Kirk. Rise of the Guardians is based on William Joyce's books, 'The Guardians of Childhood'. DreamWorks is going to be producing the film, and it will be in theaters on November 21, 2012. The story premise reminds me a lot of some other films like Hood Winked, and other fairytale based CGI movies. The main figures of the story are going to be Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and Jack Frost. Of course every story line has to have a bad guy, and in this case it's the Boogeyman named Pitch. The four guardians go on a quest to stop Pitch from sending the entire world into darkness for all time. Jack Frost is a young lad that goes on a journey with the rest of the crew. I had a lot of fun drawing him, and I think you will enjoy drawing Jack Frost as well. I will meet you guys back here at eight for another session of Livestream so stick around or come back.
