How to Draw Sandman, Rise of the Guardians
1
Make a circle for Sandman's head like so and like always, make a facial guide. You do this every time you plan on drawing a face on any human based or animal figure.
2
Begin sketching out the actual shape or structure for Sandman's face and head. Once you have drawn that out make the shape for the ears, then add some wavy lining for the chin.
3
Draw in the eyes, as well as color in the pupils. Sketch in the creases around the eyes, as well as draw in the eyebrows and nose. You will draw the long shape of the mouth, and add the detailing to the mouth and nose.
4
Next up, begin drawing the five chunks for Sandman's hair which is in an upright style. Sketch in the think strand lines like so, then proceed to step five.
5
It's now time to draw out the body starting with the wide shaped neck collar which also seems to be part of his body. Draw the arms that are spread out, then draw the lining to form the torso. Add detailing to his body like you see here then move to

Description: At first I thought it was going to be complicated to create a character in a children's film who doesn't speak a word. When I saw the previews for Rise of the Guardians, I could see how they made it work. Of course I'm talking about the very silent figure that comes into our rooms at night when we sleep in our hours of slumber. He is responsible for placing dreams in our heads wether they are good or bad. Here is my next lesson on the last figure I will submit from the movie Rise of the Guardians. I present to you "how to draw Sandman", step by step. What I like about Sandman is how he is able to create objects of his imagination from thin air using sand. He is an incredibly old figure who has been around since the beginning of time. He conveys what he is thinking using images made of sand. Because of his silence he is a very peaceful individual by nature, but don't let the quiet spirit fool you, Sandman is also a very aggressive fighter that will stop at nothing to defeat Pitch and his army of nightmares. Sandman will use his powers to the fullest until peace is restored to the way it was. Since he doesn't talk, I don't thing there is going be a need for a voice actor. Anyways, I hope you enjoy drawing Sandman. I shall return so stay tuned in. Peace out people for a third time.
