Description: The lesson on Che made me want to make a tutorial on the dictator that ruled over Cuba for five decades. Here is "how to draw Fidel Castro", step by step. Fidel Castro is another person from our history that has both positive and negative feeling. Before Cuba became ‘Castro's Cuba’, it was Fulgencio Batista that led Cuba before being overthrown by Castro in 1959. Before Castro took over the reins, he first planned a revolution in 1953 which was led by one hundred twenty men. Almost all of Castro’s men died, and Fidel was captured and sentenced to fifteen years in prison. Castro however was released in 1955 and from there he ended up in Mexico. Once he was in Mexico he met up with Che Guevara and started a new revolution. After strategizing again, they once again planned an attack but again, they were unsuccessful. Luck was once again in Castro’s favor because he, his brother Raúl and Che made it out a live and began their intense journey through the harsh Sierra Maestra Mountains. Eventually by the time 1960 rolled around he was finally ruler of Cuba. It was then that Castro nationalized United States owned businesses. In turn the United States implemented a trade embargo which basically prohibits people from doing business with the country the embargo is imposed upon. This embargo still exists today. I’m sure a lot of you heard of the Cuban Missile Crisis, that is when the U.S. almost went into full blown nuclear war with Cuba and Russia. Anyways, enjoy drawing Fidel Castro. I hope you learned something new with this lesson. Thanks people.
