Artist:
Dawn
/ January 22, 2011
Step 1.
Okay, first things first. Make one small shape for the head, and then draw a long S line for the neck and attach it to another circle shape that you also need to draw. Lastly, make a straight semi slanted line for the beak.

Step 2.
Using the guidelines you just drew in step one, completely draw out the shape of the flamingo's head, bill or beak, and then the large long neck like so. Stop drawing the neck when you reach the body shape.

Step 3.
Okay, draw out a round eye, and then color in the pupil. Next, you will need to add some detailing and definition to the beak so sketch out the marking lines and then draw a dimensional line on the lower part of the bill like so.

Step 4.
Now you can begin sketching out the small shape of this birds body. Make sure to sketch out the lining for the tail feathers, and then a small bump for the soon to be thigh.

Step 5.
Flamingos have odd feather patterns on their bodies, so what you want to do is draw out the feathers in different angles like you see it done here. When you are finished, move to step six where you will be finishing this lesson on how to draw Feather
stone.

Step 6.
Erase any visible lining and shapes that you drew in step one, and then draw out the very skinny and long legs that look very much like tree twigs.

Here he is, your finished drawing on Featherstone. Now you can go pinky and color this all male character in. I hope you had fun people!

Description:
Pink flamingos are not only beautiful exotic birds; they are also famous for their wonderful display on lawns mainly in the south. The character that I am uploading now is also from the movie Gnomeo and Juliet. Learning "
how to draw Featherstone
", step by step is going to be incredibly fun, and wildly entertaining. This is because Featherstone is what you call one of the annoying figures of the flick. He is voiced by Jim Cummings, and this flamingo takes an approach to being goofy, crazy, and even a bit dramatic. Judging by the movie trailers, I can already see that Featherstone is going to be a popular figure. I think you will have great fun with this submission because not only will you be teaching yourself "
how to draw Featherstone
", you will also be drawing a pretty pink flamingo as well. Isn’t it ironic that Featherstone is a boy, but pink in color? Almost like how the ladybug in A Bugs Life was a boy. Well I guess that’s it for now. I will be back with one more lessons for ya’ll. Peace out and enjoy!
