How to Draw Basic Anime Face

Draw a circle that is cut in the middle with a vertical line. Also draw a horizontal tangent line at the bottom of the circle.

Draw another horizontal line a little bit above your other one. And sketch out the jaw line of your face.

Draw the neck lines. And the bottom of the eye line will go right along the top horizontal line.

Draw the rest of the outline of the eye along with some eyelashes to the side. Also draw the lines for the eyelid right about the eye.

Draw the pupil and highlight of the eye. Also draw the nose along the vertical line and between the two horizontal lines.

Draw the eyebrows according to the emotion you want your face to have. You can also shade in your eyes, dark at the top and get lighter towards the bottom.

Draw the mouth as shown. A simple half circle will do. Shade the bottom half of the mouth darker than the top.

Erase the "grid lines" that you drew in steps one and two.

Draw the outline of your hair. Big swoops with your lines help create nice bangs. Shade in the hair.

Add the blush lines in below the eyes.
