How to Draw an Indian Woman

Artist: Dawn / August 3, 2013

Step 1.

Sketch out the guide for her face, then sketch in the facial guidelines as well as the shoulder line.

Step 2.

Next, we will sketch out the actual shape of the Indian woman's face like so. Be sure to include the lining for her parted hairstyle.

Step 3.

Using the facial guidelines draw in the eyebrows and color them in as well. When you draw in her eyes make sure that the top lid is dark, thick and bold. Sketch in the lashes, then draw the eyeballs. Also add the creases on each eyelid.

Step 4.

Now we can sketch out her nose, then draw in her closed mouth in the form of a full set of lips.

Step 5.

Sketch in the long wavy parted hairstyle. Draw in the veil that she is wearing, then add detailing to her hair as well.

Step 6.

Finish sketching out the veil which should be larger then her head. The headdress is like a big hood over her head. Add the detailing to the cloth, then move to step seven.

Step 7.

For the last drawing step you will draw the neck, then sketch in the collar from her shroud. Don't forget to detail the material. Erase your mistakes and then you are finished.

Step 8.

Here she is when you are all done. Now the line art is finished you can add some more detailing like jewels or other material of your choice. Don't forget to color in the drawing folks.
