1

Begin with some simple shapes that will form the mannequin for your corpse. Draw a circle for the head, and then the shapes of the torso and hip guides. When that is complete you will sketch in the facial guidelines along with the neck and limb guide

2

Since she has passed on her facial structure has changed into a sharp chiseled form. You will sketch out the shape of her face followed by the hair and some of her neck.

3

Using the facial guidelines draw in the eye shapes like so, then make some dark rings around the entire eye. You will then draw the nose and mouth.

4

Continue to work on the body by sketching out the front part of her neck. From the base of her neck draw the shoulders, long loose arm, and her hand. Also sketch out the shapes of her breasts or bust. Add detailing to the arm and neck as well.

5

Up next, draw the shape of her waist, then draw in the hips and legs. For this step the legs are only in the form of her thighs because he passed away kneeling. Sketch in the prominence of her hip bones and then her navel area. Draw in the other arm

6

For the last step, draw the rest of her hair, then sketch in all the bone definition on her neck, chest, rib cage, arms, and thighs. You will also need to add the beads and cross to the rosary too. Erase your mistakes then that's it.

Here is the drawing as I finished it. If you would like the line art step, just let me know and I will submit it for you. Thanks guys and I hope you enjoyed.

Description: I was kind of reluctant to upload this lesson because I didn't know how people would feel about the image of a dead body on their screen. I drew this figure about three days ago when I was feeling very creative in a funky way. Up next we will be learning "how to draw a corpse", step by step. The corpse you see before you has a story behind her death. She was a lonely woman that had everything, but nothing at all. She had her beauty, wealth, homestead of her choice, and she even had all the trinkets and treasures one could dream of. The one thing she didn't have though was love. She was so closed off from the world that love was never a possibility because of her lifestyle. All she had was herself and her faith. As you can see she is holding a rosary in her hand as she lays there with a void saddened gaze upon her cold face. Many times she wanted to escape her solitude, but the one thing that held her back was herself and how unsure of the world was if she became part of it. So, one night as she kneeled beside her bed, she asked her God to save her from all the loneliness in her life. She wanted to be free from the world she had no part of, and be in a place full of life without nervousness, anxiety, and judgement. Then.......? Have fun drawing a corpse folks, I will be back soon.
