How to Draw a Skeleton Key, Key Tattoo

Some of the skeleton key design looks like a chubby or stubby style heart. You will begin the first step by drawing out a wide or fat style heart with an open or pointless bottom.

The next thing you will need to do is draw out the opening holes for the top part of the key. I wanted to make the skeleton design somewhat different, so I large oblong shapes that sort of look like great big eyes. The lining for these shapes should

Instead of having hollow holes for the key, I went with a Victorian style key and drew in rubies to fill the holes. To draw the ruby like pattern, all you have to do is make a diamond like shape in the center of the design which will end up looking l

You are already almost done. All you have to do here is draw the stem of the key as well as the 'F' end of the key design. When you are done you can proceed to the next step because there is no more drawing for the key.

Description: Before I submit my other sketch tutorial, I wanted to upload this lesson on a very special key that unlocks a certain lock that you may remember. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, let me explain. Remember that tutorial that I made a while ago on the heart lock? Well, I received so many different comments asking if I could make a tutorial on a key that goes to the heart lock. After thinking it over for a while I finally said to myself “why not”. The only problem I had was thinking of a key style that was skeleton like, but also would be interesting to draw. I sat on the porch today to try and think up some ideas as to what type of key I could create. After sitting there for a while I finally came to realize that I should make a key that was chubby or stubby like the heart to match the style. The heart lock is one of my favorite tutorial concepts and plenty of members thought so too. I have for you now a lesson that will show you "how to draw a skeleton key", step by step. This key should be drawn next to the Heart Lock so be sure to tackle both lessons at the same time if you didn’t already draw the heart lock yet. I will be back with more drawing fun so stay tuned in to see what else I have in store for you all. Peace out people and enjoy!
