Artist: Dawn / June 2, 2010

Step 1.

Start off drawing an oval shape like you see here.

Step 2.

What I want you guys to do next, is draw the forehead, and muzzle. Next draw the dorsal fin and some of the back lining.

Step 3.

Next, draw the underbelly of the beast, and then draw the the other fin as well as the rest of the simple dolphins body like you see here. Next, draw the tail fin.

Step 4.

This is your last drawing step, and all you need to do now is draw out and color in the eye. Add the blow hole, and your done. Erase the one guideline you drew in step one.

Step 5.

This is what your dolphin looks like when you are done. Color it in, and you just learned how to draw a simple dolphin, step by step.

Description: Here is the one lesson that many of you members, and visitors have been waiting for. A tutorial on "how to draw a simple dolphin", step by step. There is a lot of animals I could draw in a simple format, but I think the dolphin is the one animal that is extremely cute, smart, and very friendly. They are also one of the worlds fastest swimming mammal. As you can see from the lessons main image, this simple dolphin is going to be a blast to draw because it's so easy to replicate. Sometimes when drawing animals you tend to get a little frustrated because drawing these creatures, can be complex at times. That is why I did this lesson. I have several different types of dolphins as tutorials, but none of them are as cute, or as easy like the one you see here. The whole lesson consists of four drawing steps, and then the sixth step is just the line art. The last step of every lesson is called the "line art". The line art is what the image is supposed to look like when you're done drawing. It is also what you color in when all the guidelines and shapes have been erased or cleaned up. Anyway, let me shut up so you can get busy with this lesson on "how to draw a simple dolphin". When you're done, don't forget to upload your finished art so everyone else can see. Also, don't forget to rate and comment on any art or drawing lessons you see here. Have fun guys, and I'll meet you all back here again today, or tomorrow. Peace!
