1

The first thing you want to do is draw a head and add the guidelines for the face, shoulders, arms, torso, and legs.

2

Now begin sketching out the shape of the lower portion of the face which should include the lining for the ear, and arm shape. Add the brow lines too.

3

The hairstyle for this cartoon character was literally drawn to look like flames. That is how you will need to draw the hair unless you want to do something different. After that is done make the eyes, nose, and mouth which is in the form of a menaci

4

Now that the hardest part is done, you can now finish off this cartoon a lot easier then before. All you need to do is create the shirt, and then add the shirt trim on the collar, sleeves, and the bottom of the tee. Don't forget to draw the right arm

5

Begin drawing out the legs and or pants, and notice how they flare at the ends. Draw in some pockets, crease lines, and folds.

6

You will finish off this character by drawing out the rest of the pants, and then the sneakers. Draw the thickness of the soles, and then begin erasing the lines and shapes you drew in step one.

7

It's now time to color in your simple cartoon character, and be sure to choose some unique or creative colors. Great job, keep up the good work.

Description: For my third lesson of the day, I will be submitting a tutorial that will show you "how to draw a simple cartoon", step by step. I wanted this cartoon character to look not only cool and unique, but I also wanted it to have personality and attitude. I tried creating a character concept to match the emo cartoon I drew yesterday, and I think I might have succeeded. My inspiration for this blonde headed kid was based on my eleven year old brother. I took his blonde colored hair, his clothing style, and just added attitude, and what you see in front of you now, is what you get. I think one of the most difficult aspects of this lesson is going to be drawing the hands. I tried making them chunky so that making the fingers wouldn’t be so tough. I know when I was just starting out at drawing, my biggest problem was learning how to draw hands, and it took me a long while to finally get it right. Over time I have drawn and uploaded many different types of cartoon characters that where created by me, and I think with each of them you can notice how I improved as an artist. Anyway, I think that is all I have to say, I mean it’s better if I shut up and just let you try and "draw a simple cartoon" so you too can learn to draw something new. Okay guys, I will be back soon with much more drawing fun. In the mean time enjoy your artistic drawing day!
