How to Draw a Pup

1

Make the guides for a head and body like so, then sketch in the facial guidelines and limb lines.

2

Using the guide you just made, draw in the shape of the pup's face along with some of the muzzle.

3

Finish drawing the head, face and then add the ears. Since this pup is a cross between a Dalmatian and Husky, the ears are erect. But you can make them floppy if you like. Add some hair on the top of his head, then you are done for now.

4

You will now draw in the pup's face. Start with the big wide open friendly eyes, then draw a nose and then the mouth. As you can see this is a very happy puppy.

5

Up next, draw the body next starting with the first front leg and paw, then draw in some of the chest and belly.

6

Draw the other front leg and paw like so, then draw out the rest of the pup's body. This should also include the back leg and paw.

7

Now all you have to do is draw in the opposite hind leg and paw, then draw in the curly tail. When you are all done you can erase those guidelines you made as well as any mistakes.

8

That's it, you are all done. Now you can have a blast coloring in your pup to look like your favorite breed or a combination of a few.

Description: This is just a very cute, simple concept that I conjured up for a member of Dragoart. It's a lesson on "how to draw a pup", step by step. The puppy I decided to make a tut out of is a mix breed. I combined two dogs I have been into lately and that is a Dalmatian and a husky. This was a fun drawing to make because when I draw a lot I always have fun with the simpler concepts. If you like pooches, doggies, puppies, or canines then you will have fun drawing a pup. Thanks again and peace out.
