How to Draw a Joey Kangaroo
1
Go ahead and draw the two circles for the head and body and then sketch out the facial guidelines and limb guides.
2
Next, begin to draw the shape of the joey's face. I started on the left, but you can choose either side. Also, draw in the playful tuft of hair on the right side of the head.
3
We will now draw the snout or muzzle which will also be part of the mouth. Draw the nose and some whisker holes or marks.
4
Fill the gaps on the top of the head by drawing the large playful type of ears for your joey kangaroo. They should come out looking long and thick.
5
Here you will draw the chin, the tongue which is off to the left side and the detailing to the tongue. When that is done you can draw the stubby arms and then the hands or fingers. Don't forget to add the hints of the nails too.
6
We will now draw in those bug friendly eyes and color in the pupils too. Add the brows and you are done here.
7
Draw the back and butt for the joey and then draw the large foot which resembles a rabbit's foot. Add the toe dashes and the lining at the bottom of the foot to create the foot sole.
8
We will now draw that long, thick tail which is curled at the tip and then draw the round belly. Notice the belly is not a perfect circle.
9
For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw the other leg or thigh and then the foot. Erase the mistakes and guides when you are all done.

I'm sure plenty of you are aware of the Australian wildfires that are happening and how it is feared that over one billion animals are dead. Let's hope that number is not accurate, but those wildfires are pretty severe so I'm praying that they will subside soon to help save some animal lives. Anyways, let's learn how to draw a joey kangaroo, step by step. I wanted to do a playful looking kangaroo so that is why he is all bouncy on his tail and feeling playful. I do hope you like this lesson. I know I love it. See you guys back soon.
