How to Draw a Gothic Anime Girl

Begin the first step by drawing the head and then draw in the facial guidelines. When that is done you can add the arm guide then make the outlined shape for the hand.

Using the guides sketch out the shape of her face like you see here, then draw in the outline of her ear.

Use the facial guidelines to begin sketching out her thick lined eye lids. Be sure to add a few lashes as well.

Complete the eyes by making the bottom lids, then draw in the eyeballs.

IN this step we will need to draw or color in some eyebrows. Notice that they seem a bit bushy. Add the hoop for the piercing on the eyebrow like so, then draw her nose, mouth or lips, then add the piercing for the nose and bottom of lip.

We will proceed in with adding detailing to the inside of her ear, then draw a simple shaped earring. Also start drawing the hairline for her shaved style.

Finish the shape of her head, then draw in the hair line which starts out sparse because it's shaved. Add some spots to the scalp and then draw in the line hair bang that rests on the left side of her forehead.

This anime goth girl has her arm and hand raised up to her face. So you will draw the folded in hand which is a fist on her cheek. Sketch out the shape of her arm like so as well.

Draw the neck shape which is nice and long, then make the shirt collar line.

Finish sketching out her hairstyle which is long, layered and wavy. Since her hair is shaved and exposed, the hair that does hang loose is all pulled to the left side. Add the shoulder and be sure when you do this the clothing is baggy.

Now you can add the tattoos on her neck and forearm. I went with a simple lined rose for the neck, and a random tribal lined design for her forearm.

This is the last drawing step. All you need to do is draw the rest of the sweater that she is wearing which is also the upper body. Add wrinkles and folds to complete the look. Erase the mistakes and you are all done.

Description: Have you ever wondered how to create your own gothic style girl in an anime style? Well I have and this lesson will be based on drawing an anime style gothic girl. I didn't want to make your typical looking goth with long or short black hair, pale skin and dark clothes. Instead, I used some of those concepts to create a more interesting figure. Here you will see this goth anime girl has a shaved head on one side, a big tattoo on the side of her neck and forearm, and piercing throughout. I kept the baggy dark clothing concept as well as the pale skin. But in turn I added some darkness around the eyes and and brightened up the eyes using a light brown shade. Drawing an anime goth girl will be fun, exciting and different. Enjoy and let me know what you think of this tutorial.
