How to Draw a Running Anime Girl

Start with a few guide shapes. One for her head, another for the torso and then one more for the pelvic area. You can now add the facial guidelines as well as the neck, arm and hip lines.

For step two, all you have to do is draw in the face shape, as well as the ear. Add detailing inside the ear too.

Use the facial guidelines to draw out the thick lined eyelids and lashes like so. Once that is complete you can add the thin lined eyebrows.

Complete the eyes shapes, then draw the mouth and nose.

We can get started with the hairstyle next. This is a puffy do with your typical looking anime style bangs and hair.

Up next, draw in the long, flowing hair and then add the detailing to the locks. Strand lines and curls.

Add a neck, and then move to step eight.

Now we can focus on drawing the torso and or shirt. Draw the flap first, then sketch in the sleeve along with the wrinkles.

Begin drawing the upper arm which is bent around to the front of her chest.

Finish drawing the torso by sketching out the back, waist and some of the lower body. Add the bump for the breast too.

All you need to do here is draw in her other arm which is almost all visible, then draw in her clutched fist.

For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw in her skirt, then draw one of her thighs. Add the pleats to the skirt and then proceed to the last step after you have finished cleaning up the mistakes.

This is the line art when you are done. Now color her in.

Description: To kick off the new release of Sailor Moon Crystals due out July 5th, I am going to do a couple lessons on different anime related stuff for both the new reboot, and for those of you who drawing random anime characters. Here is "how to draw a running anime girl", step by step. As you can see she is wearing your typical school girl uniform but instead of the blue tone, her outfit is red and white. The one thing I love most about this running girl is her long shiny hair. I also love the color of her skin how it's nice and healthy looking, and I love her face. I think a lot of you will enjoy drawing a running anime girl because she is fun to recreate. Enjoy and good luck.
