How to Draw a Duckling for Kids

Artist: Dawn / March 7, 2012

Step 1.

Start with the head which is round and sort of big. Next, sketch in the face guide.

Step 2.

You will now draw in the duckling's bill like so, and as you can see it's a simple bean like shape.

Step 3.

Thicken the lining you drew for the duckling's head guide and then draw the oval eyes using the face guide you made in step one. You will also need to color in the eyes and add a cute little piece of hair which is curled.

Step 4.

Next, draw the duckling's Easter style bow tie in a very simple manner. Add detailing to the bow and then move along to step five.

Step 5.

Draw the duckling's body like so, and then sketch in the small little wing.

Step 6.

End this tutorial by drawing the legs and webbed feet like so. You are now ready to begin the cleaning process which will free your drawing from mistakes and guides.

Step 7.

Here you have a finished drawing of a duckling for kids. This is a perfect lesson to tackle if you are looking for a cute Easter animal to draw.

Description: It's no secret that Easter is going to be amoung us very soon, and with Easter comes the very surprise of chicks and ducklings. Today, I wanted to make a lesson on "how to draw a duckling for kids", step by step. Ducklings are cute because they are so small and because they are incredibly wobbaly when they walk. Their feet and legs seem to bow inward, and their webbed feet also seem to be larger than they should be. This lesson is going to be both fun and easy to tackle and tweak when you begin the task. To tell you the truth, it's not going to be that much trouble at all. I just have to say that when I was drawing this duckling out, I thought of Dizzy_Duckie at the same time because her icon looks similar. Well that's it, I iwll be back for Live stream around eight o'clock to be sure to come back or stick around. Adios people like always, enjoy!
