How to Draw a Dragon the Easy Way

Step 1.


Start off by drawing the guide shape for the dragon head and then draw in the guidelines for the muzzle and the neck.

Step 2.


You will start at the front and begin to draw round tip of the nose. It's almost shaped the the edge of an axe. Continue the lining to form the bridge and be sure there is a small hump, then finish by drawing the forehead shape. You will then complet   

Step 3.


Go ahead and draw the nostril along with the embedded eye shape. Draw a slit for the pupil and then fill the dragon's mouth with pointed teeth.

Step 4.


Dragon's have horns and frilled spikes on their heads and around the sides of their jaws. This is what you will draw next. It's almost like a BURST effect. Once that is completed you can add the chin.

Step 5.


For the last step just draw the dragon's neck and then you're done. Erase the mistakes to clean up the drawing as well as the guides.

Step 6.

Description: Hello everyone, welcome back to yet another lesson here on Dragoart.com. Today I have a couple tuts that will be very simple, basic and easy to draw. I will start by showing you all how to draw a dragon the easy way, step by step. I chose to do a dragon head from a profile view since this is the simplest style to draw a dragon the easy way. I have drawn many of dragons in my day so whenever I make a new one I try and make the dragon look different each time. Hopefully this lesson will leave you with a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course you can dress up your dragon any way you like. Color it any shade you like, and even make your own dragon background. I will be back with my other lesson so stay tuned in, don't stray too far away and come back around. More to come so watch out.
