How to Draw a Donkey for Kids
1
As you can see the first step is going to be simple. Begin by drawing two circles with the one above being larger than the second. These shapes will be for the head and body of the donkey.
2
After you have the shapes all drawn out, you can now start sketching out the actual shape of the face. This is just a swift few lines that will form a forehead, nose, mouth, and jaw. Draw in the very long spiked hair.
3
Draw in the long pointed ears, and then draw in the egg shaped eye as well as an eyeball. Lightly add the nose, and tongue.
4
Draw the back of the head, and then draw out the shape of the donkey's back end of the body. You will follow the lining by sketching out the back legs, stomach, and front leg and chest.
5
Draw in the other legs like so, then the long tail with the tuft of hair, and then move to the last drawing step where you will finish off the drawing.
6
For the last step, draw in the back part of the mane, and then add light dashes for the hooves. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one for proper clean up.

Description: Heehaw, heehaw, isn’t that the sound that a donkey makes? If I’m wrong I look like an idiot, but if I’m right, than I guess it means that we should tackle this next tutorial based on drawing a donkey for kids. The donkey is a funny animal from the horse family because they are never really recognized as being a viable animal to have around. The truth is, donkeys are probably one of the more hardworking species from the horse family. A male donkey is called a Jack, and female donkeys are called Jennies. Young donkeys that are less than a year old are called foals, and males are colts, and females are fillies. I guess you could say that the version you will be drawing is a young fella, but you can go ahead and just call this lesson "how to draw a donkey for kids". It doesn’t really matter if you draw an ass to be a female, male, or young foal. What’s important is that you have fun taking on a new challenge that will end up teaching you something new. That’s all I have to say about the donkey, now it’s time to have fun drawing one out. Adios people, and peace out!
