How to Draw a Concept Creature by Josh B
1
You will begin by drawing the guides to make a frame for this concept creature. Start with a head, torso and pelvic guides, then draw in the arm and facial guidelines.
3
Here you will draw a lens that acts as the face for this creature. It almost looks like an old divers mask or helmet.
4
Then, draw the right arm as well as the cracks on the creature's helmet. Take your time and work slowly if you're a beginner.
5
After you've finished the previous step, work on the right bicep and forearm. Again, take your time with this step as there is many strange shapes and curves for the arm.
6
Let's work on the tri-fingered hand that is similar to scissors. Start with the thumb (I always do) then work your way to the two other fingers.
8
Now it's time to work on the left arm. This arm was a little complex because it's the opposite side and has to look similar to the right. Drawing the bicep should be easier since we're drawing it such an angle.
13
Then we'll start working on the waist outlines. Once you've drawn the outlines, you can then work on the inner details which make the wiring for the stomach.
15
Next, let's work on the legs. This looks like a lot of work (and it is). Draw the left leg first by sketching the outline before you add the smaller defining details.

Description: So this is a concept character that was originally created by Josh B. I did this because I really wanted to make a cool drawing and Josh's character looked pretty cool. I don't know what to say about this lesson because all I did was redraw something that someone else created. Here is how to draw a concept creature by Josh B. Have fun and leave all the comments for Josh since this came from his head.
