How to Draw a Christmas Elf

Step 1.


We will start like we always do and that is with some guides and shapes to form the frame of our elf.

Step 2.


The first thing you will do is draw the elf's small hand which will be touching her face in the next step.

Step 3.


Using the circle you drew in step one, define the shape of the elf's face like so, then draw in the large elven ear. Don't forget to draw detailing inside the ear too.

Step 4.


Okay, use the facial guidelines to draw out the big, bold eyes. When you do this make sure the top lid lining is thick and the lashes are bold too. You will then draw in the mouth and nose as well as the blush marks on her cheeks. Lastly for this ste   

Step 5.


Fill in those eyes with some eyeballs. Color in the pupils and then sketch in some eyebrows.

Step 6.


We will move on to her body. Draw the fluff for the sleeves and then draw in her arms. You will also need to draw the other hand as well and as you can see it is cradling the elbow.

Step 7.


Draw the length of her vest like cloak and then draw in some pockets and rippling to the material.

Step 8.


Up next, you are almost done with this Christmas elf. All you have to do here is draw in the lower part of her body which is the pants, boots and the lining to form the shirt and belt. Don't forget to add detailing to the pants too.

Step 9.


You will now draw in the flare of the cape. Which is all for this step.

Step 10.


Lastly, finish the head with an oversized Santa hat. This will fill in the gap and complete the drawing. Erase the mistakes and all the guides too.

Step 11.


That's it, you are all done. Now you can have fun coloring in this Christmas elf.

Description: Hello guys. I'm back and with my return I have a really nice lesson to celebrate the Christmas holiday season. I will start with this tutorial on how to draw a Christmas elf, step by step. I tried making her as simple as possible, but I got carried away and some of her creation might be difficult for novice artists. But not to worry because I have 3 other lessons that are definitely easier to tackle this this one. But for now go ahead and tackle drawing a Christmas elf and I will prepare my next submissions.
