Draw in the flames which are screaming across the flag's surface like so, this is actually supposed to be the stripes of the flag in a metaphoric way.

In the clear space at the left of the flag, draw in the skull and crossbones like so. You will need to define the lining around the eyes, and draw out the teeth. Color in the sockets for the eyes and nose as well.

Step 6.
For the last drawing step, all you need to do is draw out the small sections of flames that are burning in an upward motion. Add detailing to the burning flag, then erase the mistakes if there is any at all.

Step 7.
Here is what the flag looks like when you are finished. Now you can either take the inked out drawing to your local tattoo parlor, or you can color in your work.

how to draw flags
Description:
Every once and again I will be asked to draw something cool that will be controversial at times. I took it upon myself to conjure up a design idea to make a lesson on "
how to draw a burning flag
", step by step. For those of you that don't know, flag burning is banned and even considered a punishable crime in some countries. Of course I have never burned a flag, but I do recall watching some videos of others doing this act. I believe Marilyn Manson at one point burned an american flag, or he wiped his behind with it on stage early in his career, I can't remember which it was. Is it a crime to burn the American flag? I asked myself this same question before because it was a very interesting subject. I found out that it is not against the law to burn my country's flag, nor is there a ban prohibiting me to do so if I wished. Burning of a flag is a way to protest against government policies, laws, and tyranny. I think in the near future we will see or hear a lot of flag burning taking place. Anyways, here is a cool skull design with the colors of red, white and blue. It is a tattered flag, which means it's okay to draw it burning. Have fun folks and let me know what you think by leaving a comment or rating!
