How to Draw Vanessa Ives From Penny Dreadful

Step 1.


We will begin this first step by drawing the head guide shape and then the body guide. Add the facial guidelines and move to step two.

Step 2.


Define the shape of the face and then draw in an ear. Add the wavy hairline and move along to step three.

Step 3.


Here is the step where we will draw in Vanessa's eyes. They are piercing and very captivating. Start with the eyebrows and then draw the eyes. The upper lids are thick and bold while the eyeball lining is thin. Add a mouth and ear detailing.

Step 4.


Finish the head by drawing in the hair. Vanessa wears her hair in a messy bun so be sure to add detailing to the hair to make it look messy.

Step 5.


The head and face is done. You can start this step by drawing the dress. This dress splits at the bottom as it V's off.

Step 6.


Lastly, draw the sleeves and hands and then draw the skirt under the dress as well as the strings that close the torso together. Erase your mistakes and guides too.

Step 7.


That's it. You just drew Vanessa Ives from Penny Dreadful. Now you can color her in.
