Draw a vertical line from his forehead to his chin, this should be curved to follow the contours of his head. Draw marks where his eyes, mouth, and nose should go. Draw where his ear will go.

Sketch in his eyes, nose, and mouth. Outline where his beard will go. Draw the outline of his hair.

Shade in his eyes and nose. Shade a base tone for his beard and draw in where the dark parts of his hair go.

Shade in the rest of his face and neck. Finish his beard and eyebrows.

Finish his hair.

Finishing touches. Shade in anything else, leave highlights, darken the darks, make him look like him.
