How to Draw Steve from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
1
Make one large shape for Steve's head, then draw the torso. Sketch in the facial guidelines and proceed to step two.
2
Next, sketch out the actual shape or structure of Steve's face which is sort of shaped like a small bell. The lining should be rough to look hairy.
3
Draw in Steve's bandanna, then draw in the top of his head which is his hair as well. Draw the ears and add detailing to them.
4
Now it's time to draw in the mask that frames Steve's face. Make the large zoned out eyes, then draw in the eyeballs and pupils. Add the nostril slits, then add his small smiling mouth.
5
End this lesson by drawing the torso part of Steve's body. This just includes the shoulders, arms and back. Clean things up then you're done.

Description: This is Steve. As you know Steve is Flint's pet monkey that he also uses for experiments that are not harmful to animals. Even though Steve doesn't talk, he is a very funny monkey that has a lot of personality and spunk. Steve does however communicate through a talking device that Flint invented. This is the same device that Steve puts on Flint's dad when he tries to communicate with Flint on how he feels. Steve is a really cute character, and I'm sure you will love recreating him using this drawing lesson. Don't forget, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 will be in theaters September 27, 2013.
