Step 1.

Start with some guidelines that forms a star.

Next, use the guides to draw the squared shaped star you see here. If you are using paper a ruler would be an ideal tool to use.

Outline the inner part of the star to form a border.

Here you will draw out the Rod of Asclepius which is an ancient symbol of medicine.

Here you will finish the drawing by adding the snake slithering around the rod. Erase the mistakes and guides, then you are done.

Here is how the line art should look. It's ready to be colored in.
