How to Draw Smaug Easy
1
Make a good sized circle for the head, then sketch in the facial guidelines. You will also need to draw the neck line too.
2
Using the facial guides, begin drawing the dragon's muzzle and this should include the jagged lining for the teeth.
3
We will now draw the rest of the jaw structure and chin which is angled and V lined or shaped. When that is done draw in the sharp frills behind the jaw along with the small horn.
4
Complete the head shape by drawing the back part of the head and fill the head with small rows of tiny spikes. Draw the horns in a larger scale, then you can proceed to step five.
5
Finish drawing Smaug's face by carefully drawing the eyes. You should tackle the brows, then draw in the eyeballs. Add the arched nostrils, the add detailing to the cheeks. Finish everything on the face by adding the gum line for the teeth.
6
Lastly, draw in Smaug's neck shape and as you can see it is long and sort of curled. Erase the mistakes and guidelines before you consider this drawing complete.
