Make three shapes, one for the head, another for the body and one more for the end or butt.

Next, use the facial guide to draw in the doggy structure for Shigure's head and snout.

Next, draw the ears, then proceed to step four.

Add detailing inside the ears, then draw the simple lined eyes. Draw the single lined glasses, and then make the nose.

You will now draw the lining to create a neck, then draw the chest and front legs. Notice that the paws are simple shaped.

Continue to work on Shigure's body until you have a completed shape. Draw in the hind legs and then make the stomach.

Add some toe lines for the paws, then draw in the last back paw.

Finally, you have to draw the long tail and then you can begin erasing your mistakes.

Description: So I have for you an anime character from the Fruits Basket anime/manga series. Today, we will learn "how to draw Shigure Sohoma", step by step in his dog form. Normally Sohoma looks like a human, but when he is hugged by the opposite race or when he gets massively stressed out he turns into the dog you see here in this lesson. Sohoma is the Dog of the Chinese Zodiac and is going to be a real treat to recreate. So gather your treats and prepare for an awesome tut on drawing Shigure Sohoma.
