How to Draw Precious From The Nut Job

Let us begin shall we? Start with making the outlined shapes for the head and body like so. Sketch in the facial guidelines and move to step two.

Define the shape of Precious' head like so, then proceed to step three.

As you know pugs have a squished in looking face. Precious is a pug so she has the same style face. You will begin sketching out the crinkles and wrinkles for the eyes, then draw out the outline for the nose.

Use the facial guidelines to draw out the shapes of Precious' eyes like so. When that is done you need to add the crease lines, and then the indents to the temple part of the head or skull.

Draw the shape of Precious' chin or bottom jaw. This is a simple round shape. Add the smile and then draw in the pug's small nose. Don't forget to draw and color in that mole.

Finish drawing the shape of the head and neck like so, then draw in the cute floppy small ears. Precious looks exactly like her name already.

Draw the wide shaped body which starts out with the chest, then draw the front legs and small paws. Add the toe lines too.

Here all you will do is draw in Precious' collar and dog or name tag. Detail the collar by adding hols, and buckles.

Let's finish this drawing off by adding the back, small butt, and then draw the hind legs and paws. Don't forget to draw the small curled tail. Erase all those mistakes and guidelines you made throughout the lesson.

Description: Here is another awesome character from the upcoming film 'The Nut Job' which is due to be released in theaters January of 2014. Today we will learn "how to draw Precious the Pug" from The Nut Job, step by step. Precious is going to be voiced by Maya Rudolph which is one of the old cast members from Saturday Night Live. Now I don't know anything about Precious, but I can guarantee that this character or pug is going to one of the funnier and cutest animals from the film. I had a lot of fun with creating a step by step lesson on Precious. My ten year old sister also loved the lesson because not only is Precious a pug (her favorite dog), The Nut Job is a movie that has a bunch of animals. Enjoy drawing Precious folks and make sure to keep an eye out for the release of The Nut Job in January of 2014.
