How to Draw Rilakkuma, Rilakkuma

Draw a circle for the head, and a rounded end body guide like so. When that is done you can add the facial guideline, then proceed to step two.

Simply shape out the shape of Rilakkuma's head like so, then proceed to step three.

You will now begin drawing the body which should have small stiff arms, and stubby legs. Draw the circle on the stomach, then move along to the next drawing step.

For your last drawing step all you have to do is draw in the rounded ears, then color in the eyes. Draw the snout, color in the nose and make the mouth. You will also need to add the detailing for the ears as well.

You are all done my friends. Now you can color in this adorable character.

Description: Has anyone heard of two characters named Rilakkuma and Tarepanda? Well if you have you already know that they are some pretty popular characters in Japan. So popular in fact The New York Times once said that they are a pop culture hit in Japan. This lesson is going to be on one of the two figures. SO let’s grab out pencils and learn "how to draw Rilakkuma", step by step. Rilakkuma is a cute brown colored stuffed bear that shows up one day in the home of Kaoru’s out of nowhere. This character made his debut in a picture book named ‘Rilakkuma Seikatsu’. I guess ever since then he has made a name for himself as being one of the cutest stuffed bears in Japanese history. I had a lot of fun drawing Rilakkuma because he was so easy to recreate. I feel confident that you too will enjoy this lesson, so go ahead and let the games begin. Adios mi amigos, good luck.
