Step 1.
Let us begin as we always do and that's with the guide for the face/head. You will then lightly sketch in the facial guidelines before dropping down to step two.

Step 2.
Use the guide you just made to sketch out the actual structure of the Queen's face shape. Also add the hair line as well.

Step 3.
Use the facial guidelines to draw in the small squinty shapes of her eyes like so.

Step 4.
Finish the eyes by drawing in the eyeballs. This includes the iris', pupils, and then her eyelid crease. Since her face is painted a pale white, you will only very lightly sketch in the eyebrows. They should faintly come through on her face.

Step 5.
Here we will sketch out the shape of her nose. Start at the top left side and work your way down. Once the nose is finished you can draw in the mouth or lips. Add the chin arch, and then sketch in the small frown line on the side of the nostril.

Step 6.
Queen Elizabeth almost always wore extravagant clothing and wigs. Here you will draw in the very tight curled wig. Add the wavy outline for the wig and then move to step seven.

Step 7.
Add crimped curls to add texture detailing to her hairstyle which is as I said a wig. Take your time so her hair comes out looking kinky.

Step 8.
The fancy collar you see around her neck is where the 'Elizabeth collar' got it's name from. If you don't know what an E collar is, it's the ring that vets put on dogs and cats when they want to stop pets from licking or irritating injuries that need
s to heal. Sketch in the neck shape and then draw the ear lobes. Add ruffling to the collar and then you are done.

Step 10.
To finish off the drawing all you have to do is sketch in the lines for the ruffles. You can erase your mistakes and that's it.

Step 11.
The line art should come out looking like the drawing you see here. Now you can have fun coloring in the great Queen Elizabeth the first.

Description:
One of my favorite movies of all time was a film called 'Elizabeth' starring the very talented actress Cate Blanchett. After I seen that film I had a respect for the actress because of the way she depicted the life of Queen Elizabeth and how she rose to be one of England's greatest Queens and ruler. This lesson will show you how to draw Queen Elizabeth in the form of how the actress looked in the movie. She did such an amazing job, that I just had to make a lesson on her image. Queen Elizabeth I is best known for ruling England for forty four (44) years. She carried nicknames such as Good Queen Bess and The Virgin Queen. If you like history I think you will love this lesson on drawing the great Queen Elizabeth I. Thanks so much for joining me with this tut, I will return with other fun stuff to draw.
