How to Draw Morgan Freeman

Step 1.


You have to be very careful when trying to fit your drawing on the page , it's doesn't look good if there's to much space on one side or the other. I've put him in the center.

Step 2.


As you can see I've started work on his eyes, just filling in .I used a very sharp pencil. Also I've toned the zones that are black or just darker.

Step 3.


Filling and shading around the eye, do it slowly , i used a small mechanical pencil mine to shade and add details ( i lost the pencil but not the mines). The white eyebrows can be obtained either with a sharp eraser or by outlining individual hairs a   

Step 4.


Continue with the filling and shading on the lower side of the face, I left a white space, for the mustache hairs , which i made them individually.

Step 5.


This is the easiest step, just filling all the black parts .

Step 6.


It may not look like Morgan Freeman yet, but it will, shortly. Begin shading on the other side of his face, slowly, with circular moves . You don't need to make white eyebrows here.

Step 7.


Starts to look like Morgan ? I bet it does. For the beard i used short pencil strokes, some straight, some circular , randomly.

Step 8.


Make his hair the same way you made the beard and you're done, Congratulations if you made it this far! Don't forget to edit your scanned drawing, I always do, because my scanner is strange. Oh, btw, the background I made using gray pastel, and i sm
