How to Draw Till Lindemann, Till Lindemann From Rammstein

Step 1.


Draw the oval lightly with a No.2 or HB pencil. Make sure you draw it as seen in the picture.

Step 2.


Now draw in the bisecting red line to balance his facial features.

Step 3.


Sketch lightly the crescent red lines for hair line and head mass.

Step 4.


You can draw in the lines a. for eyebrows, b. for eyes, c. for nose, and d. for mouth.

Step 5.


Now draw in Till's eyebrows, eyes, and falling hair.

Step 6.


Observe where Till's features appear in relation to the guidelines. Draw in his nose, smile lines, mustache growth and mouth.

Step 7.


Watch closely how Till's face outline, jawline, chin, and beard scruff relate to the guidelines. As you draw, you will have more accuracy.

Step 8.


When you sketch his hair, add those straight lines and curved shapes. Try staying close to the lines that represent the direction of his hair. This will help as you shade it in.

Step 9.


Now draw in his neck and shoulders. If you haven't already, you can erase your guidelines.

Step 10.


I made this line drawing especially for you if you don't want to do the pencil shading and blending part. Otherwise, let us continue to the pencil drawing part.

Step 11.


Here is the outline done with a 0.7mm mechanical pencil. Look closely and see if your lines look something like this. You can erase if certain areas like the eyes or nose don't line up. Take you kneaded eraser and dab off the shadow outlines or dark

Before I started the pastel application, I erased dark outlines on the nose, lips, smiling lines for a more realistic shading. Now I can start with the pastel application. If you do the whole picture in a pencil sketch, this is where you would sketch

A little note: If Till's hair that's falling into his eyes seem darker, they are. My 9B graphite pencil was too short to sharpen so I used ink on those hair strands. The next steps show how I made his other hairs match. To continue: Here I used my bl

I darkened in his eyes, eyebrows, and facial hair with my 0.7mm HB mechanical pencil. I defined his lips also. I added more darkness and continuity with my 9B Graphite Crayon in his hair and on his shirt.

Step 21.


Here I corrected his lower lip, made it fuller on the left side facing us. Basically, I blended the sketch lines with my stump trying to match the shadows with my reference pic. I added more shading to his facial hair growth. I took my kneaded eraser   

Step 22.


I made sure to add some white opaque watercolor paint to his hair strands, brighter catch lights to his eyes, lip definition, and tiny facial hairs to add more "POP" to Till. I cloned this background from the reference pic to add drama for my introdu
