Step 1.
Draw the oval and circle (that represents Michonne's hand) lightly with a No.2 or HB pencil. Make sure you draw the slightly arched line as seen in the picture.

Step 2.
Now draw in the bisecting red line to balance her facial. Also add a small line, circle and a longer line. It'll all make sense as you keep drawing the guidelines.

Step 3.
Sketch lightly the crescent red lines for hair line and head mass, and add a line to the back of the crescent. Also draw the next line and circle. These lines represent the Katana (sword).

Step 7.
Now draw in the outline of her headband and cheek shadow. NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DRAW THE SMALL DESIGNS IN THE HEADBAND. At the end of this tut, I'll have a picture with the blank headband and blank sword handle.

Step 8.
Here is a different type of hair style. DREADLOCKS!!! When you sketch her hair, add those curly, bumpy lines for the locks. Try staying close to the lines that represent the direction of her hair. This will help if you want to shade it in.

Step 9.
Here we have the Katana's handle. You don't need to draw in the wrapping around the handle. Now focus on drawing her hand.

Here is the line drawing picture without the headband designs and hand wrapping on the sword. It will be easier for you to shade or color. Let me know if this was helpful.

Description:
I will be doing some simple Walking Dead tuts. This one is of an amazing character named Michonne, a Katana wielding woman warrior. She is introduced in the last episode of the second season. Michonne saves Andrea from some walkers with her Katana. The strange thing is she first appears hooded tugging two chained walkers with no arms and jawless faces. Wow! That was an eyeful. With this very popular comic book, game, and TV show, you either love it or hate it. And I absolutely love this show. Yeah, there are zombies, but this brilliant thriller has an amazing cast you tend to love. The landscape, cityscape and drama is so real until you feel as if you're right there with the survivors. This AMC television series is one of the best TV shows of all times. Let me know what you think of this more simplified tut by commenting, faving or clicking on "Love It"! Peace n love to ya!
